Can anyone explain what the charge shown as MAIN on my bill is for?

Can you post a photo or screenshot of this bill entry, with personal details removed?

I don't know how to do this. The information on the bill says "This month you've used services outside of your plan. The charges are included under Extra Charges below." The charge is £2.52. I cannot expand the item to see any details.

Hi @39Isthisforreal
Are you checking this on your EE app?
You can click "View Bill", then "See your full mobile bill".
If you scroll down you can then "Download your bill". Pick the most recent invoice and it will show the full breakdown, including the actual charge you have.
If you can let us know what it shows by the charge?

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, when I click to show the breakdown, all I get is that it is for MAIN.
However, I had another problem yesterday and had to ring EE. So I asked about this charge. Apparently it is to cover an undercharge - EE's mistake, on my bill for November 2024. Due to an error, they did not charge me the correct price for my plan. Looking back, I hadn't noticed this, but I consider that they should have notified me of this before taking the additional amount.

Thanks for the update @39Isthisforreal
A text message is sent to the affected number if a billing error has occurred. Was it your number which had been affected?

Yes, it is my personal mobile. I did not receive a text. I have had a problem from time to time when my mobile throws a wobbly and a text does not arrive. Too infrequent to worry about! I am on a very low price plan because I only have the mobile for emergencies, so consequently it is not switched on very often. Maybe I missed it? Not a problem now as I have had my answer.
Thanks for replies to my question.

I had exactly the same. Undercharged in November by £2.20 and additional £2.20 taken in December. Weird!
