The subject explains really why I want to leave EE. I'm 1 year and 4 months into my contract and with the huge price increase imposed on the contract I'm looking to leave.
According to Citizens advice I have the right to cancel my contract with in 30 days of the price increase issued but does say not without a possible fee.
I'm not looking to walk away without a fee but wanting to pay off the phone as its only fair. When I've called twice now I'm told the cost with includes my line rental and phone. Doing this I'd be best off staying with EE .
Has anyone managed to cancel the contract and just pay for there phone and not the total cost of the contract thats left?

@NotAfll Why would EE pay you anything when you was an EE customer. EE offer the same by covering earlier termination fees when you switch to EE. You don’t get that when you’re already an EE customer because it’s called an upgrade. You pay for broadband connection the internet is accessible via that connection.
The internet is what you see on your PC screen/phone screen/tablet screen.
The internet is a global network of interconnected computer networks that allows for the sharing of information and communication between devices, using protocols like TCP/IP.
And you think you pay for that.
You pay to access what available on the internet. You pay for a broadband connection. That’s not called the internet.
Anyway I’ll wave you bye bye 👋👋👋👋👋 as you now just a tourist here with no affiliation with EE broadband.

“, ee don't cover nothing for me, they said I had to pay, the new company I signed with is covering my exit fee as they give me half a year of free internet fibre, instead of louzy 50 mbps a second, I get 300-500 mbps
For the same price! And on top of that garantee full home coverage, again unlike what I currently have where internet constantly disconnect in my home, ipay for the internet it's not free, what are you on about”
I’d love to know which ISP covers exit fees, gives 6 months free fibre 500, and (unlike every other UK ISP) guarantees performance post router.
🤔

@NotAfll No I don’t know what you mean because I don’t say one thing but actually mean something else as It’s not very articulate to speak in such a manner.

Most likely talking about community fibre, they do provide full home coverage by giving extra routers that run independently, that's only on premium plans.
About the 6 months free I heard it's a very rare case scenario, the gentleman probably told them he had to wait out his contract, hence the 6 months.
Exit fee? I don't know about that, I don't believe they do it.

But then again he said the 6 months would cover his exit fee from what I understand, meaning he can wait out his contract to expire without paying for it to leave.
