Failed Sim Only Credit Check

Hello,

Having some issues recently I have managed to fail a sim only credit check, surprisingly to me with EE. After disputing this there is nothing I can do, and I need to suck it up and try again in a few months.

Thought I would try a PAYG with EE, however it clearly is treated as a sub standard package, with no access to 5G and no access to an Esim..

Does anyone have any experience moving from PAYG to Sim only and does a good history on PAYG help at all on the application? Considering keeping it for a couple of months or should I just suck it up and move away from EE totally?

Paying for PAYG constitutes no credit history. You are not borrowing anybody else's money.

@Jamie2675 , once you have built up a good credit rating, then you will be able to have a sim only contract.

As @XRaySpeX , has written pay as you go needs no credit history, but contracts do need a good credit rating.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
