My contract has now come to an end. Why am I still paying the same amount as when i was paying for the device as well

If your at the end of the Contract you will be put on to a 30 Day Rolling Contract on the Tarriff and you will be continued to be Billed until you call CS on 150 to give 30 days notice.
Were you on a Flexi Plan?

EE's traditional contracts, in common with many other providers, have no concept of "paying for the device" - you have one single monthly payment which covers all your service, and which continues on a rolling basis with a minimum term of 2years.. If you are now outside your minimum term, you can change to a SIM-only plan instead.
EE now offer Flex-Pay plans where you have 2 separate monthly payments - one for your airtime, the other for your phone.
