EE Price hike Robbery

So just got my latest letter from EE stating that my account will increase by a whopping £3.19 pm in line with inflation. This is absolutely disgusting as my own earnings don't even go up that much! They say it's based on CPI but any responsible company that wants to retain the loyalty of their customer base would waive this. So unlike me who they have over a barrel, if you are near the end of your contract then show how disgusted you are with these robbery merchants by walking away immediately. They are an absolute disgrace in times of a recession!!!!

I am new to the UK, and I find this type of contact unfair to customers. However, it seems to be a common practice among companies here, and customers have accepted it. What's the point of signing a contract if the price can be changed midway through? This never occurred in my previous country of residence.

@Tinytrouble  no one on this thread works for EE the people who work for EE are clearly marked as such on this forum.   Just because I don’t say my opinion on this thread doesn’t mean I’ve not gave my opinion elsewhere.   Stating that you agreed to the T&Cs of the contract doesn’t mean anyone agrees with it.   you accepted the T&Cs of that contract to have that contract.
You don’t seem to know the difference between opinion and what someone is saying that you basically agreed to the T&Cs of the contract.

And you don’t seem to know that it’s not just you who has a price increases,  business face price increases also.    Do you think a cellular network works on nothing. Do you think the hardware that has to be on a cellular mast is free ? Do you think the cost of this hardware hasn’t gone up in price just because the manufacturer has had an increase on parts for such hardware.      You might be oblivious to benefit of the increase in your day to day life but it’s there for you to use.

@Phil071 , all networks do this

Not all networks hike their prices every April. I haven't had a price hike in years!

@sluk   You’re contract wasn’t a fixed term contract and if you had actually read theT&Cs of the contract it does state that there is a yearly price increase of CPI plus 3.9% and you would of been told or had to of read the T&Cs before you could proceed with taking out the contract.  This CPI figure is from December last year and this was 4%.   Your previous country of residence has nowt to do with it.      Have a look at THIS  and THIS    Line item 6

@Phil071   You might find THIS  useful.   The network that don’t have yearly price increases are MVNO network, ie they don’t have their own network but use the 4 main network providers to give their customers a cellular service.   While they don’t have yearly price increases they can increase their prices at any point they choose.   They also don’t offer all services that the main 4 networks provide.

Every network changes their plans and prices on a regular basis, but this has no impact on existing customers who are subscribed already. Sure, no network guarantees that a plan will be around forever and if you stick with one long enough, you're likely to be forced off it eventually.

Wrong! Some do, some don't. iD Mobile for example, offers the same service and features as the four main networks. Sometimes the price you pay per month is reflected in the level of support you receive, and the additional services made available to you.

Do your homework and pick a network that suits your own requirements.

@Tinytrouble my wage rise by 8% but then I must work for a reputable company if yours didn't.

They even started my raise in January rather than waiting for April

@WelshPaul  I also said and you didn’t get that they don’t all offer the same services as the main 4,
It might not be of interest to you but others use a smart watch.  ID mobile don’t support them,  perhaps before you have a go you actually do the homework to back up the claim that ID mobile support all the same services as the main 4.   And did you check about eSims ?

As for pick a network that’s suit your own requirements.   Perhaps THIS might give you a clue
