Is there a way of changing the tariff I’m on, because with O2 you could it within the app.
It’s just I don’t do much streaming. So I need to reduce my phone costs slightly.

@robh661 , you cannot change your tariff if you are still within the minimum term, you will have to wait until the minimum term is up, which you can do 30 days before the end of your minimum term.
You can do this within the app; and check what tariff you want to have and click on sim only contracts, or ring customer service on 150.

Unsure what kind of contract you are on from your post, but if it is a Flex Pay agreement (one payment for device and another for your airtime) then there is a 24-month minimum term on the airtime (unless you are on an EE One tariff), with Upgrades (the generic term for a change of price plan on EE - regardless of whether you are going up or down) remaining unavailable until your Flex Pay balance is cleared or the schedule of payments are completed.
If you are on a 24-month combined payment for both Device and plan, this works similarly in that you would have to see out the minimum term at whatever rate you signed up to.
It may be that the tariff you are on was on a promotion, meaning less data may not always be cheaper. It is quite common to see 125GB or Unlimited work out cheaper than 25GB for example due to these promotional rates.

Thanks,
I’m on an EE one tariff, it’s just when I looked at the phone & airtime tariff.
The Flex pay has until 2027 to run, as I only got the phone about a year ago.
But the airtime plan ran from the 6th Aug to the 6th Sept. As I thought all tariffs were on a 30 day rolling contract.

Which EE One airtime tariff are you currently on/what is the current cost of the airtime?
Yes it is only the EE One tariffs which are 1-month-rolling airtime agreements (non EE One customers have 24 month minimum terms on their airtime), but even so the Flex Pay balance is tied to the Airtime and means it cannot be changed unfortunately via self-serve methods in the EE App/online account. It may be possible for EE Customer Services to do this as a change of price plan (via an alternative to the Upgrade process through their systems), so it may be worth asking - but it equally may not be possible. As an example of this, a non EE One customer has a 24-month airtime agreement, but the Flex Pay device plan can run to 36 months - in these cases the customer is unable to Upgrade until they have cleared the Flex Pay balance. This is usually why it is explained in its totality as a 36-month agreement at 'x' price (with the increases of course). After the 24-month point, a customer can choose to cancel their airtime agreement or port to another network and continue paying for the remaining 12 months on just the device, it is just the Upgrades that do not currently work if you wish to switch to another price plan while still paying the Flex Pay device payments.
On SIM Only it can be done as you describe, it is just the Flex Pay element that adds some complexity to all upgrades as it requires the balance to be cleared to allow any changes of price plan via this route.
Apologies for the necessary length of the response, but feel free to ask for clarification on any of the points if you need.
