Hello,

I bought my ex partner a phone a long time ago and the contract has now ended however she wants to keep her number. She now has a new phone with EE and her own account but how do we change the number over? We live 150 miles apart so can't be together for a phone call.

You need to call CS with both of you available to effect a change of ownership. She will need to pass a credit check. She will then be paying for her own contract. If you can't do it together CS will give the current owner a password for her to quote when she calls.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

@Alex_morey1999  The best way will be to ask for the PAC code for that number and give her that code.  She will then need to port that number to a different network on PAYG then port it back to her new contract/account.   This way will mean she’ll replace her current EE number with the one she wants to keep.     This will terminate her old EE contact and no need to pass any credit check in order to take ownership of that contract

You can not transfer contract numbers between accounts so a port out and back in is probably best   Unless she wants two contacts in her name.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
