@Afteranswers   Sending emojis can be sent as an MMS.   Sending a texts to more than I believe 4 recipients can go as an MMS.    Even sending over Wi-Fi if you are using the Wi-Fi calling service is a chargeable MMS.    what device are you using and what devices are you sending these too ?

it says picture messages on bill (1 message) then its £2.92. when you hit the arrow for more detail its shows 4 messages at £0.73

i have done some digging and i did send 1 picc on whatsapp at that time. when i checked i message it looks like i may have sent more but they only went as text messages with no picture attached. looks like i got charged for picture messages that were never delivered..

Sent from my iPad

Did those text msgs you later discovered contain any emotions/emojis? That would be enough to turn them into MMS. What about the times against these charges for picture messages in bill vs. the timing of those text msgs?

Most phones do give an onscreen indication when a text message is being converted to a photo/video message.

Sometimes not noticeable until it has been sent (& charged).
