Broadband contract doesn't shown on my Credit Report

Atee86

Hi there, around 2 years now when I started focusing on my Credit Score. Final goal is a mortgage.

Every contract what I've taken out in the past is visible on my report.

Previous broadband with TalkTalk or recent mobile phone contract with Three UK. All visible on my report.

However, my broadband with EE is not visible at all. Any time I asked them about them they used different explanations.

First, they said they removed it due some Quality Checks and as soon as it's done its going to be there.

Now, they say they don't report it to Credit Ref Agencies due Data Protection. Excuse me?!

Fun fact, if you miss any payment it gets reported immediately.

I'm looking for a solution since I feel I'm missing out on my credit score improvement.

Thanks for any help related my issue.

@Atee86  If you want to improve your credit rating get a credit card and use it responsibly much better than a contract with a fix term.      There’s even credit cards designed to improve credit ratings.   Really high APR but you use it and pay it off as soon as you can.

When did you take out this EE BB ?  it can take up to 3 months for anything to show.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi @Atee86

Welcome to the Community!

I'm not too sure why you're receiving different explanations each time you've asked our team about this.

I would suggest emailing our credit file team directly if you haven't already.
Their details can be found on our help page 👉 Credit Files Explained

I hope this helps,
Linzi

My BB a/c has never appeared in my credit report & I don't expect it to. My main bank a/c, Barclays, doesn't appear either. It will depend on which credit providers report these things to the credit agencies.

Which a/c's appear or don't appear in your credit report is not the way to build up a good credit history.  As @Chris_B recommends get a good credit card, spend on it frequently & show you can repay the necessary in full on time.

Most unusual to have someone complaining about EE products not showing on credit reports, it's usually the other way around regarding apparently-unnecessary credit searches!
