Bill still charged even though cancelled?

Hi, please can someone tell me why I've been charged a full month upfront when I cancelled my contract on the 27th April 2023. And switched to my new contract on the 3rd May 2023?

You will receive the final bill about a week after your plan finishes or after you've received confirmation that you've left the EE network.
