After being with EE for 21 years, I decided it was time to leave. EE aren't stocking the OnePlus 13 which is currently the best phone on the market so shopping around was in order. Straight away I got a call from an agent who went through various options so we agreed to stay with my daughter upgrading to an s25 on unlimited data etc for £40 pm and me switching to an unlimited sim only deal plus apple one for £24.
So the phone arrives along with an email stating £54 per month which wasn't as quoted. The link for apple doesn't work so I called again. The contract quoted and signed was honoured, so problem 1 sorted. The apple one which I specifically asked about as I'm an android user apparently isn't available for android, even though I currently have apple music through ee and have had apple tv through them as well. So I'm given an option to switch the sim deal and given an extra add on to apologise honouring the same price.
After over an hour on various calls to them, the call dropped and I'm now unable to make or receive any calls on my mobile. After checking the EE app I've been switched to a £41 contract with 3 add-ons, I've not agreed this or signed anything at this point.
I had to ring again on my daughter's phone as mine is blocked, to be told my contract was changed and it will take 24 hours for the sim to update to a contract I haven't agreed. I asked to escalate this to a complaint and was told there was nothing they could do, and I just have to wait. My daughter needed her phone so I'm now phoneless and can't sort this out until they decide to reconnect me.
Obviously really unhappy, no phone service currently and paying a contract I haven't agreed to. Until it comes back on and I can tell them to stick both contracts and I'll go elsewhere, should've done this on Friday and saved myself a weekend full of inconvenience and terrible service. The deal I was originally going elsewhere for is now over which is making me even more annoyed as I'll be further out of pocket. Absolute shambles!

And just to add insult to injury, because my phoneline is currently disconnected I'm now housebound. My apartment building is secured by a GSM system which requires me to ring it to get access into the building or for any deliveries incoming which call my phone for access. So as of right now I've missed a delivery, haven't been able to go.out on a sunny day and meet with friends, do the grocery shop and can't go to work tomorrow. Absolutely brilliant customer service EE 😡

Sorry to read of your troubles. Never heard of apartment access requiring a phone app.
I’d thought the Apple TV app wasn’t available for android - turns out it is, just not for my Fire tablet even tho it has PlayStore side loaded.
Is Apple One a worthwhile add on for an android user?

@Minkey1 Yeah the apartment change over from a code to ringing a number has been challenging for a lot of residents, our mobiles now actually work as an intercom but it has to be to the registered number which is mine
I've always had apple music as an add on with no issues on my android and had apple tv previously through ee. ICloud works from my windows laptop and my phone, it's just the arcade that I wouldn't use. So it was the best value for me out of the add-ons that I would use on a daily basis.

Understood. In 2023 we jumped from Nexus/Pixel to iPhone and now subscribe to iCloud, Apple Music, and Apple TV+. For another fiver the Family plan would add sharing but I resent paying for Arcade. Still pondering that one.
