Anyone shed any light on why my upgrade is split into 2 plans and one is shorter than the other. What happens when the 24 month airtime plan is up? But the phone plan isn’t

What you have signed is a FlexPay plan where the finance-loan for your phone is legally separated from the airtime-plan for your usage.
The airtime plan continues on a rolling basis for at least the duration of your minimum term, but then until you explicitly change or cancel it. The loan-plan is a fixed-term repayment, once your phone is paid for this ceases.
