£10 mobile plan but being charged £12.50 ??

I moved from BT to EE recently.  I took out a £10 mobile plan and for the first month I paid £10 only.   The bill for December has come through and it is for £12.51 and it says it comprises of £10 plus £2.50 +1p account charge.

I only moved over my broadband, phone line and mobile because of the deal your team member gave.  They specifically said the mobile payment would only be £10 per month.

Why has it been increased to £12.51 - the bill does not explain the account charge or why ?   Any ideas because the is not what I agreed to.   Hoping someone can help

Hi @aroohpaws.,

I joined EE mobile from BT and had an additional charge of £2.50 added from the second month. It was for itemised billing, which I never requested and had not been offered.

I called EE customer service and requested the removal of the itemised billing from my account and a full refund of all charges. They did what I asked without quibble.

I’ve just had this added to my account to sneaky buggers …. Thanks for the tip
