You could have either:

  1. Fixed Home BROADBAND
  2. Or Mobile Broadband

Hi @gary641 broadband deals tend to be for a minimum of a year, often 18 months, more recently 2 years. So if you only need it for 2 months may be a problem. It can be delivered over a suitable line to your home, or via a mobile service.

MiFii uses a small device plugged typically into a USB port and like Mobile Broadband needs a suitable sim card.

This article on Uswitch helps explain how it works and compares with mobile broadband.

It seems someone has marked this thread solved a bit too soon!

@Mustrum : EE, & most others, no longer sell MiFi dongles. Even advertised MiFi dongles are actually mobile WiFi routers. What you & uSwitch call MiFi is to all intents & purposes mobile BB nowadays.

The OP just needs to choose between fixed Home BB & mobile BB w/out muddying the waters.

Hi @gary641

Welcome to the community.

It sounds like Mobile Broadband could be a feasible option. What kind of devices will you be connecting to it?
