stBT switch to EE

Just switched from BT to EE. When I search for EE WiFi on my devices it doesn't show and it just connects to the old BT connection which is a drag when I have guests as they are unable to connect to my WiFi. Can anyone help?

@Don111069 When you setup the New EE router, you must have used the option to keep the existing old SSID and password from your OLD BT router, if you wish to start fresh and do it all over, hold the Factory Reset button on the router for 20 seconds, until you see the front light change, release it and you will now be back to what it say's on the router once it all restarts.

You probably let the app copy the BT router's WiFi settings to the EE router when setting it up. It was an option. Now switch off the BT router.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

If you have kept the same BT Smart Hub 2, then it is normal for your Hub to still broadcast the same network as it would just be the underlying service provision that has changed.

Otherwise if you received a new Hub from EE and used the option during setup to transfer your devices, then it will have copied the BT details across. This has no impact on your service and who it is with.

It is still an EE Broadband connection you are receiving, regardless of the network name your Hub is broadcasting.

I've known people to even rename it to silly things in the past just for the fun of it.
