i can not get a straight answer from openreach

i live in maltby and have seen they are building fibre in my area i emaild them to see when i can expect to get there service and the reply i got was we are not in there build plans, the have now moved on to another area and still they have not built to us

so why have they built to half of maltby and left our estate out in context we have virgin media here and get 1gig so if virgin can do it surely openreach can

i am currently paying £45.50 for igig speeds from virgin and over £180 for mobile from ee and want to bring my costs down and bring it all under one bill with ee but i cant as there is no openreach fiber

@ann1959j If OR Openreach have decided that there is not a requirement then your area will get skipped, with VM already established as the provider that may just be how it get's left. Openreach is not an ISP and really have zero requirement to talk to the public at all.

Fibre Checker

It's so unfair though all maltby are covered by virgin media full fiber not just my estate. All we can get is virgin can't even get any other because they run on openreach network plus when I check on openreach fiber checker it says we are building in this area my postal code is s667**

I think they are building to areas they want so the can meet the targets they have set operators should push openreach to build to their customers as there is a market for people wanting to move and government should fine them for do a half a** job. I also went on there website yesterday and went on live chat to get a answer no one answered my chat and it timed out
