Signed up 7 weeks ago and still no date for activation - normal?

Hello, I am on copper at the moment and have signed up to fibre which was only made available afer a few people in our cul-de-sac complained.

I am aware that openreach have been to my street and I have seen them doing some work, but nothing has happened for a while now, is there a 'normal' expectation for when things would be connected up?

Tracking my order just shows 'engineers outside' even though they are clearly not, and raising a ticket with my details returns an 'internal error has occured' landing page.

I am fine waiting, but would love some info thats all.

this is normal for fttp in high demand area

full fibre ?

what happened with me

came out to see how easy it was going to be for openreach to connect me decided they needed to fit a duct a or trench for the cable

then got a further email saying that the need to dig in a public area

then got a further date for install

dont be expecting a close date if you are in a high demand

you might get 2 dates if work is needed ro bring your property

if you area currently served via CBT on a pole you will continue to be  if its ungrounded a trench will be dug for the new cable
