So, my BT contract was about to expire so I called and got EE who I negotaited a new contract with.
Within 24 hours the wi fi dropped continously and then I couldnt pair my hub with my EE app. As I am now an EE customer rather than BT, I was told I needed a new router which would be sent out. It wasnt. In the meantime, all my products with BT have gone from my app = I cannot manage elements like parent controls.
Called EE (3 times) and was assured new kit would be sent out. It wasn't.
Called again and was told that I need to upgrade my package to get EE router and discs.
How can a company force you to be an EE customer from BT and then take away basic security features without telling you and then charge you to prevent children from accessing unsuitable contact?
Was also told i can no longer control wi fi in my house e.g parent cotrols without paying an additional fee pcm.
In the meantime, my accoutn has been debitted.
EE are a bloody joke. Cant get through to people. When you do they promise things that dont happen and then EE want to charge me to stop my children accessing certain websites or stopping wi fi during home work.

Join the club. I rue the day I rang up and gave them the opportunity to move me over. But it would have happened anyway. BT have made the decision to get rid of their domestic customers, and that's it.
Issues with each product, including non working WiFi Controls.
Sick of 150, I complained to CEO level.
Seeing progress now but on the phone side, I have to pay a minimum of 3 bills before they'll add them to our BB/TV in the app, so I get the same functionality I had with BT. This is despite being a BT customer for decades.
It's a disgrace.

I feel your pain Mike.
i am still talking to EE having been transfered to multiple different departments. (1 hour 45 mins so far on my 3rd phone call in the last 2 days).
Now been told that the 5 BT discs i have around my house will need changing as well and then I need to upgrade my package to whole home wi fi and book an engineer.
All this was included with BT and apparently I cant cancel my contract without a penalty.
Unbelievable situation - none of this was told when I renewed my contract and now I am stuck.

We were already on Fibre900. They sent a new router. No engineer needed. Plug n play. Have to say, measured speed and coverage over WiFi is better than my BT SH2.
Old router and old disc had to be returned. The BT whole house disc won’t work with an EE router.
TV and phone side inferior in some respects.
Overall, similar plans for a similar total. But a simple change of logo it isn’t. It’s way more than that, and I don’t think the “powered by BT” ads help with that misconception.
Why the engineer? Are you going to Fibre to the home, from Fibre to the Street Cabinet?
