ive just got my bill through and it says im being moved plans, its the first i've heard of it and my account says my plan is ceased.
should i just hope my plan switches or is this some weird error?

I've no idea what EE have in mind. You'll have to ask them. I'm just deducing what it is likely to be from the availability of types of BB at your place. Once Full Fibre is in place there EE stops selling FTTC & is likely to want to move FTTC users to Full Fibre over time.
