Wired connection slow to connect

When I switch on a device with a wired connection to my router (desktop or TV) there is a delay of several seconds before a connection is established.  Reliability and speed are excellent when connected but I did not experience this lag when I was previously with BT.

Cana anyone shed any light on this?

Amazing how EE seem to almost disregard their premium product when it comes to support.  Poor, very poor.

@Joe77x  16 months to late for me, had it from day one on Mar 2024, at least they eventually got round to it, switch inserted to the Ethernet took care off the 30 second delay!

@imacken Not sure what is happening EE Smart Hub 7 Pro wise, looking like the FW update was possibly pulled if not it may be going here with possible issues! See the new Pinned link for FW Updates.

FW: r3.8.24-R-1531355-PROD-1 and the gui is at App version 3.1.3. 17/09/2025 Now https:// ( If you have this it stays )
FW: r3.8.25-R-1595997-PROD-1 and the gui is at App version ?.?.?. 23/12/2025
FW: r3.8.26-R-1595999-PROD-1 and the gui is at App Version is 3.1.3.19 24/12/2025 ( Only later ones get up to this version )
FW: r4.28.1-R-1882725-PROD-1 and the gui is at App Version is 3.14.5 31/05/2026 Stability Problem

Thanks @JimM11 but I'm not sure what you are quoting there.  These versions don't appear on the link to FW for the Pro. Are these Pro FW versions?  If so, why is mine so far behind?

@imacken I posted previously after conformation that there was no need to bring your version at  r3.8.24 to version 26, minimal and NO functional change so EE said, it's listed in the link with comments.... The r4.28.1 few 7 Pro user's got it, had issues but prior to that the 6+ was having major problems, but could not get EE to confirm they Pulled the Pro but they did find the 6+ issue fixed it and released new to be completed by End of June. 

Fact your Pro has not been updated you may be thankful as you may have been stability issued big time!
