Wired connection slow to connect

Neil0

When I switch on a device with a wired connection to my router (desktop or TV) there is a delay of several seconds before a connection is established.  Reliability and speed are excellent when connected but I did not experience this lag when I was previously with BT.

Cana anyone shed any light on this?

No. I gave up reporting it. They just kept telling me that it’s an issue with my devices, and no one else has reported it!

 Pathetic really.

no, I "suck it up" and "got used to", I know EE has a new hub and I'm kinda waiting for someone to swap for it and tell me the issue is fixed on that one, hint hint 😉

As you can see from my replies above, the new Pro hub made no difference to the issue.

No, I've learnt to live with it.

A small annoyance in the scheme of things.

@tintin82 To this day the NIC delay connection still exists on the Plus and the Pro router's, Tp-Link switch in front clears the error out as the switch is always powered either on the adapter or off the Router USB port. Not the news you want to hear, new FW released, so on the First Check of my to-do list, and will post when router get's it's update.🙄

@JimM11 Thanks for that. Is this update just for Smarthub+, or Pro as well?  Btw, where do we see the hub FW version?

@JimM11 Thanks again.  Yes, that is the firmware I have, but my app version is 2.34.2. No big deal, I guess.  So, is the FW update rolling out now?
