WiFi Extender Pro 7 issues

After working for three weeks the extender decided to unpair from the Pro 7 hub.  All attempts to re-pair the extender failed with orange flashing lights.  I then plugged the extender into the hub and it then paired and I could see it again in the manage broadband page as paired.

However, when I moved it, it wouldn’t connect to the hub by wifi.  I then used my original setup using devolo power plugs and ethernet connections which I used with the previous series six extender and all works fine now.

Nothing has changed in my house but a bit annoyed I had to buy a pair of power plugs to get it working again.  The BT mini connectors I was supplied for free when I got BT broadband gave up the ghost.

Well, it seems myself and quite a few others are having this issue and if someone tells me one more time to reboot use the lead or factory reset i will loose the plot. And yes it has been swapped out so has the router. Considering it is only 20 feet away and the fact we are paying for it, Its the worst piece of kit i have had the misfortune of using.

Time for a change

@simonkk What is it that you suspect is the issue, the Pro Extender or the Pro Hub, or just all off it in general?

Mine as well is driving me mad, the extender keeps flashing green randomly then I have to re start the main router and this not ideal . Why is this happening all the time ? Any solution apart from re starting the main router ? Is the hub router 7 pro and extender.

@Markitos_672 You should call EE CS, flashing green is not a listed condition for the EE 7 Smart Wireless device.

Having been messing around with these for a few days I have found a possible solution.

The important thing is
Turn on both hub and extender
Connect your extender to the hub with an ethernet cable
Leave connected for 5 mins and the lights will go solid Aqua.
Unplug the ethernet cable from the extender, but leave the extender on for further 5 mins.
Then TURN OFF THE extender BY THE BUTTON on the back.
Reposition the extender, but do not turn on.
Turn off the hub and turn back on again
Then turn back on the extender.
They will then join each other again and go Aqua. I have mine about 25-30 feet apart with 2 breeze block walls in between.

For me, without rebooting the hub, the extender would ALWAYS go back to flashing orange, even if you try through the app to join them again.

Even though they are connected, eg, both are solid Aqua, the app doesn't recognise that there is an extender connected.

Hope this helps
