Why is Game download is taking hours and hours

Jayne5571

I am trying to download a game to my PS5 and it's going to take 4 hours and it's not even a big game

Why is it taking so long when I'm supposed to have the fastest broadband

@Jayne5571 See your other PS5 User's recommended fix. This is the post required to be looked at, Strange PS5 Pro download issue - EE 900 Core.

@XRaySpeX Was intentional for the user posting, i do not agree with the findings or crippling iPv6 because a PS5 will not download at speed, yes it may be an EE issue but also can be a PS5 issue, never ever had it with daughters PS5 and it still connects iPv6 to download correctly.

@JimM11 : Then don't recommend something you don't believe in. It just looked your mistake. Rather 0.5-hearted to hint at it but let user search for it.

Hi @Jayne5571

Your line speed is irrelevant as you're reliant on the network connection from the download site/network.

If you're a non Pro owner change your network settings to 5GHz only.

Thanks
