I have notice recently that my smarting plus shows a EE WiFi SSID on the list of WiFi available routers. How do I get my hub to turn this off I have opted out of using Ee WiFi Hotspot but my router shows this open EE WiFi.

@FAM0422UK   there was a recent firmware upgrade that is likley to have activated the service.

You nay need to opt out again, which may take a day or two.

At which f/ware update is your Smart Hub Plus?

@Mustrum : My SH+ recently updated it f/ware to the latest Firmware version: r3.8.11-R-1414606-PROD-83002. However EE WiFi is present in list of visible SSIDs whether the router is on or off & it was there before the update when the SH+ was at a much earlier level. Therefore it must be emanating from 1 of my neighbour's routers.

@XRaySpeX The EE WiFi ssid has always been transmitted on any of the BT Smarthub2 and will assume the EE Smarthub 2023 as it is using the identical FW, the latest FW that you have version wise on your EE Smarthub+ has NOW introduced it for the very first time to the + range of router's, if you have a wi-fi analyzer app on your PC or on a mobile you will see it loud and clear and a fairly strong -db signal if you are measuring close by the Router. Will find and link the post from just over a week ago. Edit:- Link is below.

@JimM11 :

  1. Where does OP say he has SH (2023) [he said "plus"] or its f/ware version?
  2. EE WiFi is registering -90 dBm while the SH+ SSID is at -27 dBm. So nowhere near as loud & clear & fairly strong as you postulate. A distant neighbour has an SSID BT-MPAxnx at same strength. 'Tis him!

     Then how do you account for the same EE WiFi being there when SH+ is switched OFF?

@XRaySpeX I Guess Bob Pullen did not have it then so everyone is wrong, maybe the fact sometime you may just wish to pull your head out from where it is! Glad your neighbours showed up Wonder if they have a + Router also!

@JimM11 :@bobpullen does not have it as he has opted out of it. That is not the case I'm discussing.

The 2 neighbours I have ID'ed have BT routers.
