Where can I get a smartplus router

Hi,

I have joined EE on Nov 29th and have still have not received the router box. As I live in Northern Ireland, I am very concerned now that this could not arrive for Xmas and ruin the kid’s day.
Does anyone know if the Smartplus WiFi 6 router can be bought in store?

Thanks,

MM.

@MM1978 : You should have got your EE router a day or 2 before your EE BB went live. If you've been moved from BT, EE sometimes insist you continue using your BT router.

It won't be obtainable instore.

@MM1978  I would by a new one from a well known action site and resell it as selling is free once you have sorted out your one from EE. Make sure you keep the box /packaging it comes in. 😉

I have doe this myself with WiFi extenders and invariably got back what I paid for them. It is always good to have a spare anyway.

@MM1978 What where you given as your Installation date, and the activation date for the BB product that you bought. You should be able to see that detail in either your conformation e-mails, or in your actual account in the orders section.

I phoned EE and told them that the router was still not here.
They tried calling Royal Mail but could not get through. They then said they would send me another.

As of now, neither has arrived. Unbelievable.

It seems that there may be problems with the delivery of router boxes to Northern Ireland. I have heard stories from people I know of instances of deliveries not arriving until much later than they were supposed to.

I went to a store local to my home and, to be honest, they could not have been less helpful. Basically “out of our hands” was what I was told. Frustrating as there is a router box sitting on display. Things are that desperate!

So I bought one myself on a well known auction site. It seems easier to track this one than the other two.

I have another question- will this third one (bought from a well known auction site), which is new and unopened, when it arrives (hopefully) actually work as it’s not going to have the same WPA key for example, as the one(s) EE sent me?

thank you all for your helpful replies.
MM

3rd what? I thought you were after a router. You only need 1 of those. What are the "other 2"?

Time to backtrack & tell us exactly what you do have & what's missing. How do you expect us to help you otherwise?
