VOIP keeping my landline number.

Landline number will disappear soon.

Will EE be offering  VOIP for their customer's existing landline numbers?

I have seen the BT YouTube video for setting up a WiFi VOIP phone, it didn't show how the  landline number is  associated, it concentrated on setting up Alexa instead.  Please help and advise.

Also with these linux handsets will we also be able to connect to WhatsApp & FB Messenger?

I've looked on the back of my modem but no socket for my phone

@jonathan0158 : No EE router yet has a phone socket; it's a BT router that has.

@jonathan0158   it may be a bit early for your location, but have a look at this recent announcement on moving EE Customers to Digital Voice.

I have signed up for phoneline+ which transfers all calls to my landline number to my mobile phone. After a bit of teething it works well so i keep my landline number without actually having a landline and it is half the price.
