Using landline to phone an 0330 number and constantly get the engaged tone but can get through on mobile.
Have tried phoning other 0330 numbers including EE and there's no problem. It's just one particular number, which is a utility company. Thank you for any ideas

It's probably your landline withholds its Caller ID but the mobile doesn't. Some businesses refuse withheld callers. Try dialling '1470' in front of the no.

@macca20211 Call EE CS 150 from your phone, and have them check it out for you.

the CS adviser said try 1470 before the number but still get the engaged tone, so maybe I'll change utility companies!!

sorry my fault, you said 1470 and I dialled 1570. Have now tried 1470 and 1280 but with either prefix the number is still engaged. Thank you anyway.

Not your mistake! I put '1570' in my original post before I corrected it.
