Unidentified Network

I have several Lenovo Thinkpads X280 all running Windows 11 25H2. They are connected to an EE Smarthub Plus with either ethernet or WiFi. Intermittently when they are connected, they show Unidentified Network, not the EE hub. This forces Widows to connect as a Public Network, which I cannot change to Private Network. As this is an intermittent problem, a reboot will often fix this. It happens both on ethernet and WiFi. As this is intermittent, I have not been able to establish a pattern. This never used to happen when I had a BT connection, but started with EE. It is not related to Windows 11 updates.

Where on your PCs are you seeing this "Unidentified Network"? For devices connected by Ethernet they are not connected to any particular network but to the router as a whole. Could it be that the router is losing connection to an Ethernet device (as mine does occasionally) & so the device auto connects to a WiFi network?

Hi

This shows on the tray icon. Also in the Network and Sharing Center. The
ethernet does not drop - it can be there when I first switch on but not
always. What it should show is the name of the router.
