Unable to ping or access router

Hi,

I have a EE smart hub that I wanted to make some changes to but I am unable to access the configuration. I know the address and have tried connecting wirelessly and with a cable but I cannot access it or even ping the IP!

I've tried downloading the EE Home app to see if I could configure it from my phone and this couldn't connect to the router either even though I am on the wifi!

Wifi is working on all other devices as well.

Hi @Miller878

Try resetting via the reset button/hole. This will resert all settings but you'll be able to access.

Thanks

EE Smart Routers always discard ICMP.

You can access the router thro' its IP, http://192.168.1.254 .

@XRaySpeX  Yes, they are specifically configured not to respond to ICMP (ping) requests as BT considers it a security risk. I've had this argument with the firmwares devlopers on many occasions but they won't shift.
