No, there is no remote access to managing your router. But if you have cameras, video doorbells & such like, wouldn't you want it to be on so you can view them from afar?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

@Nick19843  There is one way you could do this and that to have a smart plug that you can control via an app on your device.  But once you switch it off you’ll not be able to switch it back on without physical input from yourself with that smart plug as this will cut power to the router as it needs a WiFi connection to switch back on and obviously that will be switched off if you was ever to remotely switch it off,

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@Nick19843  With the EE app always as a revolving and updating but never known what is going on with it, there is a new feature appearing while connected with mobile data, now manage home network, what it (does/does not) do someone else can experiment with, you may be able to remotely disconnect but as i say try to see what can be done.

@Chris_B Not an app/mobile person, prefer to use my laptop for everything but the EE app connected over mobile data, does connect, and can get to the home network, so not sure if it is a new feature but i am on EE mobile, android and the app is the current 5.48.0. Did think about the smart plug, use tapo myself, but the off, then never on until physical on button push but may be also what the OP is interested in doing you just never know.

@JimM11  Your right it does work. Just tested it myself on my iPhone.     Must be new because I’ve tested this before now and that didn’t work.

it’s also probably only the newer hubs that support this.

@Chris_B Messaged you because you profile has superstar on mobile, i think phones are for phone call's and need a 14" mobile screen to see the sucker, Got the EE Smarthub+ if you need me to check that let me know, and i will set up the laptop to test for disconnection, got it in a group but will drop it out, just check the app myself when someone complains it's not working.....
