Transfer to EE from PlusNet and IP domain issues

We have received our EE router today in readiness for the transfer from PlusNet to EE to allow a landline phone to continue.  We purchased our exisiting router when we signed up to PlusNet and they gave us the credentials to enter in our router to set up the connection.   By sourcing the router ourselves this gave us full control of the config on the router.  Our home network is stable and works well.   We use the 192.168.40.x domain and we have a mix of fixed IP address (.2 to .99) and DHCP addresses (.100 to .199).   We have two WiFi extenders on .253 and .254.  So bottom line I have a great concern that we will not have access to the config of the new EE router and will not be able to run in the .40 domain.....and I am going to be spending a lot of time resetting all our hardware to DHCP which for some devices will lead to connectivity / reliability problems.  That's before having to reset all the WiFi devices.  Is there anyone out there that can set my mind at rest ?

With the EE Smart Hubs Plus/Pro you will be able to set your own Gateway IP & DHCP range as Custom under Home > Advanced Settings > My Network  > IPv4 Config, like so:

@Woody2026 You need to go sort out your two wifi extenders if those are fixed IP's on them first. Adjust the scope sample as given you will have issues if you do not!

The range I gave was meant to be an example. I presume the OP is capable of working out his own actual IPs.

Ran up the EE router with no internet connection and it all looks fine and tweakable so thanks to everyone.

Does anyone know the temperature spec of the v6 router.   Sat on the workshop bench it gets warm and my installation is in the roof space where it gets #@$%~ hot even without the current conditions 38C at the moment.   My current TP Link has survived this and so has the TP Link Switch and the CCTV router.   I would expect most commercial stuff these days to survive -10 to +50 but just curious if anyone knows.

Once your devices have connected you can edit their IPs under My Network & set them to "Always use this IP" for any you want static or reserved.
