I get a EE hub sent to my place now, and I found there is a master socket in my place. But I can't plug broadband into the master socket at home because the connector type doesn't match. What should I do?

You can ignore the fibre and the Nokia ONT, EE only uses the Openreach network.
If the router is not working when plugged into the top Openreach socket, or by using the filter in the hidden test socket - under the bottom plate after removing the two screws then you really need to call customer services. 0800 079 8586 option 2 i
Note, you need to use the DSL filter in the hidden test socket, but not on the top port.
@noarijwqk2isk2 no need to keep tagging people in seperate posts, it does not help and just adds confusion.

Yeah I was wondering if that was the case. Thanks for clarifying that.
Yeah I think option two is what needs to happen 😄 I'll get Nora to test the hidden socket.
Do you think they would have two lines going to one apartment? I didn't think they would be paying for both. But again, i'm not used to this.
Thanks again for the help.

No, the OP has the Fibre 36 Essentials plan. That does not use an ONT.
Is the "she" you refer to the OP of this thread or just someone you know? If the latter, it would be clearer if you start your own thread. Your situation is just confusing matters.
