Terrible broadband

I got EE broadband a week ago and it's been up and down. Today, however my Firestick won't connect and the router keeps blocking google with the message: "The account holder has blocked this site." No I haven't.

It's shockingly bad. 5 years with plusnet abs never had issues. Utter rubbish.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Thanks, I'll check them out. I haven't touched the parental controls, but it's worth checking anyway.

For the Firestick: Sometimes older or weaker devices may not be compatible with the default WiFi settings of EE Smart Hubs. Try setting up Compatible WiFi on the router under Advanced > Wireless Settings > Config > Compatible WiFi (it defaults to 2.4 GHz only & WPA2) & connect your problematic 2.4 GHz devices to that.

@Sica No, is it something you have done but not aware off doing so, not knowing what you have from EE helps nothing, but does sound like parental controls type issue app settings wise!

Thanks for this. I cush the settings to compatible WiFi earlier, however it didn't change the issue, so I changed them back.

Thanks.

I looked through the devices In the hub settings, and parental controls were active for 5 of them. First time looking at the parental controls. Bizarre.

Thanks again.

@Sica Now you know where they are, keep an eye on them, not sure as don't use anything EE wise so it may just be an OOB the way the Hub/App is set on a possible first use case.

Cheers!
