Basically I will be switching from Plusnet FTTC, to EE FTTP product Thurday (PM install slot). When do I switch over from the Plusnet Hub Two, to the EE Smart Hub Plus?

@Rossby Switch over of equipment will be at the activation of the service, and if you are going from a fttc to a fttp service then the Installer or OR Contractor will use the new EE Router to connect to the FTTP ONT and check/test line is good, check the speed that you have purchased package wise and let you get on with everything else.

@Rossby did you tell EE about your PN service and are you moving your landline service?
If so, your PN broadband may stop working in the early hours, and your phone line should move from the phone socket to the router phone socket after your EE broadband goes live.
But if you did not tell EE about your PN service you are likley to have to cancel their service once EE is up and working.

@Mustrum Yes, Plusnet is aware. I have switched to EE via Plusnet.

@Rossby Have you watched the OR Fibre install video so you know what to expect on your installation day, and thought about were you would like to have your new ONT and EE router positioned, ideally in a central location to maximise your wireless or at least were the Plusnet Hub is if you have no problems at present.

@JimM11 Most of that is already done. I had a failed attempt at FTTP install with Plusnet 2 years ago. Openreach couldn't thread the fibre cabling though because of a block in the duct. The ONT and router is placed exactly where I want it. They have since manged to fix it recently when they installed FTTP to my neighbours house.

@Rossby So you have fibre all the way up to your property on the outside now, and your inside is done all be it with 2 year old OR equipment?

@JimM11 Yes, I didn't know the OR equipment would need changing.
