We are due to switch over from Sky tomorrow, just wondering how easy this is and do we have to do all the connecting of phone, tvbox, wi-fi hub. I presume we get an email saying the wifi is active as I can't switch it off as I work from home. It wasn't made clear that we would potentially be doing all the connecting, beginning to doubt my decision to move from Sky.

@BallyBee : Are you switching like-for-like BB? If so, the BB connection will be already there & no OR eng. is likely to attend. You will have to connect up the router & TV box & phone but will be given comprehensive instructions. Which EE BB plan have you ordered including its speed?
What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

@BallyBee My Sky - EE switchover notification was at 2.23am e-mail ready to go, was a breeze no issues, kept the same sky ssid for the wireless, password etc, everything connected zero problems, went from the SR203 Sky router to the EE Smarthub+. Just take a note off the SKY details on the back off the SKY router, write them down and keep them safe, no doubt sky will request there router back when you have swapped over. Sky billing takes about 60 day's to complete so do expect to pay up to them, you will get it all back in time so keep an eye on it, i had to call them as they put it all towards future credit, had no items so called got the refund transferred back into the DD and that was it all over and done with.
There is no guarantee that it all goes smooth, if not get your needed up for work and sort the rest later.
Phone will be possibly out off commission for a couple off day's so you know, DV landline swap over is just not an instant, if it goes straight off then you are lucky.
