Hi!
So i work from home and need a static IP to connect to our databases otherwise we have to whitelist my IP everytime it changes which gets very annoying for me.
Can i get a static IP assigned to my router or if anyone has any suggestions for setting up DDNS as i have not used that before, that would be great 🙂

By default on a SMARTHUB PLUS ...DHCP is only set up for Addresses 192.168.1.64-253 ... so .1-.63 are available for you to use as static addresses. So just set your device in its IP config to be STATIC rather than DHCP and use an address in this range. Of couse thats a static address within a private address range , you'll not get a STATIC address within any companies public address range... not enough IP addresses ... All assuming you are talking IPV4 and not IPV6.
For Dynamic Domain Named Service you need a company that provides the facility and I guess that's probably chargeable. I used to use PANASONIC for my security cameras and it was free , but I think they've now withdrawn the facility.

@EllieAngelica EE residential Broadband do not provide an external static IP addresses, you may get one or more if going via a business account. However if you wanted to use DDNS, you would need to use your own router, it seems the later EE routers no longer have an option to use that kind of service.
There are however plenty of ISP's that can provide a static IP, AAISP, ZEN and I believe Vodafone to name a few

@EllieAngelica Link below for you and @Mustrum will clear the pictures for you to view, BUT please check with your IT people if they have a preferred system that is best on the network, take a read when you get time.
Edit:- Also time for you to have a look at which EE Router you currently have if you would need help then better for it to be known if you post back.
