Looks like they've sent you a replacement router as a shot-in-the-dark guess that'll it fix the outage (which it wouldn't) as it their unscientific wont. There is an incidence of faulty SH+ PSUs - see EE Sending out Replacement Power Supplies for its Smart Hub Plus's. . They may have been thinking of that.

It'll be a replacement router. So you'll need to return the old 1.

I have been a customer for many years.I recently had an internet outage. I just called and asked the reason. After a short time, the Internet appeared. I didn't order a new smart hub.But they sent it to me.I haven't connected it until today. Question. If I connect a new one. I have to give you the old one back? Thanks.
