EE WiFi 7 Pro Router

Hi,If i purchase a EE WiFi 7 Pro Router from a third party and not EE will it work fine instead of my current EE broadband set up which has a EE Smart Hub 6 Plus.Will the EE app recognise the new router and will all the wifi controls work i.e the wifi optimiser and other add ons i currently have and will the wifi 7 with the tri band work as it should as if i purchsed it from EE.

Yes, it will work fine but the EE app will still show a pix of your current plan router while still being able set the replaced SH Pro controls.

Your SH Pro should still receive the f/ware updates due to it. EE will still support it even tho' they did not supply it as it is a current suitable EE router. I sometimes use an SH+ not supplied by EE (but not from grey market as such) & it has had its f/ware updated & been supported by CS.
