Hi
I have my EE smart Wifi pro connected to my EE smart hub pro router via Cat6 but i am seeing the following issue, after a day or 2 speeds via the smart wifi pro drops to around 350-400 (I have 1000mb) from around 900-1000mb which suggests to me maybe the wifi pro device is losing its wired backhaul connection and falls back to a wifi backhaul connection. If i power cycle the wifi pro it will be back to 900-1000mb again but within a dew days back down to 400 etc, i am using CAT6 cabling.
Unfortunately due to using the EE smart hub and wifi pro on my BT fibre connection it seems i cant see how the wifi pro is connecting, wifi backhaul of wired.
Anyone else had this issue? I can only guess that the cause is the cabling maybe however i have changed out the patch cables and never had an issue with my Deco XE75, always connected via wired at 2.5gb.

Aware cat8 is overkill but the cat8 cables worked out literally a few pounds more for the 15 I purchased . Anyway way off topic so let’s leave it there. The likelihood of me needing speeds that actually need cat8s theoretical speeds is zero🤣 but you never know🤣

Another update and it’s not good news:
Decided to just leave the EE WiFi pro plugged in for a while longer and it’s degraded again so it looks like not having a device plugged into port 2 helps it doesn’t eliminate the problem fully. I have also been having intermittent but enough to be a problem on BTTV multicast (bttv pro box hard wired directly into the EE smart hub pro) drop outs IPC6023 which seem to also coincide with when I changed out the BT SH2 to the EE smart hub pro and ee WiFi pro.
Bottom line is I’ve given up, I’ve ordered a UniFi dream router 7 and UniFi wifi7 disc and will reinstall the BT SH2 and turn the WiFi off, unfortunately I need the SH2 as we have DV
if all my problems go away I cam safely say the EE devices don’t play ball with my setup

I think this will be my final update:
I removed the EE WiFi pro (wired backhaul) and replaced with a UniFi Express 7 (wired backhaul using in AP mode), I also removed the EE smart hub pro and reconnected the BT SH2. The result was everything worked, WiFi speeds 800-1gig, no multicast EETV errors which had been happening pretty much daily since I started monitoring. So I thought I would reconnect just the EE smart hub pro and leave the ee WiFi pro disconnected, the end result is everything is still fine, no WiFi degradation and no eetv multicast errors. I then reconnect the ee WiFi pro via a wired backhaul and within 12 hours the multicast tv errors reappears!
EE WiFi pro disconnected again and multicast EE tv has been fine for last 2 days. FWIW the EETV box is wired into the EE smart hub pro directly.
