Smart Wifi pro wired backhaul issues

Hi

I have my EE smart Wifi pro connected to my EE smart hub pro router via Cat6 but i am seeing the following issue, after a day or 2 speeds via the smart wifi pro drops to around 350-400 (I have 1000mb) from around 900-1000mb which suggests to me maybe the wifi pro device is losing its wired backhaul connection and falls back to a wifi backhaul connection.  If i power cycle the wifi pro it will be back to 900-1000mb again but within a dew days back down to 400 etc, i am using CAT6 cabling.

Unfortunately due to using the EE smart hub and wifi pro on my BT fibre connection it seems i cant see how the wifi pro is connecting, wifi backhaul of wired.

Anyone else had this issue? I can only guess that the cause is the cabling maybe however i have changed out the patch cables and never had an issue with my Deco XE75, always connected via wired at 2.5gb.

I think it was me that you guys were referring to as the other person having this issue.

I still have this issue. My default setup is for the Pros to be connected via wire through a 2.5gb switch. I have tried direct connections but the same problem exists.

I also occasionally have them drop to 100mb but that is rare. Usual speeds are around 400mb.

@ben_flugel Similar but not the one i had in mind for the speeds on the backhaul, but good few out and posted!👍

Done a bit more testing and it qppears the EE WiFi pro when it degrades it only degrades downstream not upstream, currently seeing approx 1600Mbps upstream but only 650Mbps downstream across my internal LAN, reset it and it jumps back to 1800Mbps downstream then a couple of days later it will degrade again and then may or may not improve all by itself.  Its very strange, as i see no reason for this happening.  I have also managed to borrow another managed switch a UniFi 2.5Gbps one, no errors, no loss and port speed auto and synced at 2.5Gbps.

@wenklaw : You'll never see 1600 Meg Upstream! Are you mixing them up or adding a '0'?

This is across my internal LAN not upstream FTTP

@XRaySpeX You need to read the post correct before jumping in!

@wenklaw All you can do is keep the eye on it, not all gear mixes and matches well, and more so with the EE Ethernet port's!

I think ultimately if i decide i want/need the full speed my network is capable of so 2.5Gbps across my LAN and 900/1000Mbps internet via devices connected to the EE wifi pro I will have to replace it with for example a unifi one.  Cant see EE fixing an issue that probably isnt an issue for  99% of people.
