EE TV - picture breaking up

We have an EE TV mini box, using wired broadband connection into Wi-Fi extender, and the picture keeps breaking up/pixelating.  Was just on BBC and ITV earlier in the week, but on other channels today. No issues with braodband speeds, have tried updating software and factory resetting box, but there has been no improvement. 

Does anyone have any suggestions what else I can try?

try removing the ethernet cable and connect to the wifi network the extender extends. Multicast that BT/EE use for the distribution of TV is great when it works but it can be a complete pain in the **bleep**.

Thanks for the reply, have tried this as well and if anything it was worse. Agree that it is a complete pain in the **bleep**!!!

Same happens for me on itv4 with mostly older programmes. 

No pixelation but mostly flashing black blocks across the screen randomly but not often so doesn't spoil the viewing.  

Have tried with freely and the same occurs so not sure if the EE service comes off the same feed now.
