Smart Wifi Pro extenders

New to EE. Swapped from BT which worked flawlessly, however I am struggling with issues and wondered if I am alone with this or whether these are common.

I have a modern 3 story house with the SmartHub in the front lounge on left of house, with one extender in kitchen extension  towards the rear rightside and one on 1st floor somewhere in the middle of the house

Issues I am having.

1. Any one of the extenders at anytime will suddenly show up on the App as 'no signal'. But there will be devices connected which work and when you select it, it will say Online.

2. Devices and TV mini boxes that are close to an Extender will connect to the main hub or the other Extender which are  alot further away.  Sometimes they will show as poor signal but won't connect to the closer one.

3. EE TV boxes (i have 2) will be disconnected from extenders and will need to be rebooted to reconnect.  Happened half a dozen times in little over a week.

I have rebooted, factory reset, repaired, moved extenders and still these things persist.

It's annoying and causes poor performance.  I assumed it was as the name suggests, Smart and would make devices connect to the best place and be more stable.

Has anyone had these types of issues and fixed them, or is it a case of living with it.  I did have a 3rd Extender but everywhere I put it, i would get a Too Close message and nothing ever connected to it, even if I say next to it  so I put it away.

Thanks

I still get the annoying drop outs with the TV Mini boxes. Unplugging them and restarting fixes it. I was told by a dev about a year ago now there was an issue that caused the WiFi card inside it to crash but don’t think they ever released an update.

I have similar problems with the WiFi pro hub and WiFi pro extender not sure if its like other mesh systems that swop over which ever unit has the best signal. Pretty much all appliances if connected up stairs to the extender when I take them downstairs to where the main hub is stay connected to the extender upstairs, if I turn the WiFi off the phone/ iPad then turn back on it connects to the router im closest to , so don’t think the mesh side of things working correctly.

I also have problems 1 and 2, so it is not just you.  I noticed the documentation (what there is of it) does not use the word “Mesh”.  I suspect that these newer boxes, although faster / have greater range. are using a more primitive technology.  Although it is not a major issue, I have noticed that video signals are not continuous as you wander from area to area.
