Hi all,
I have just switched from Sky to EE.
I have the new Smart Hub 7 Plus and although most of it works, i have a couple of issues.
1. When i try to turn on "Always use this ip address" for devices on my LAN it won't toggle. Therefore i cannot set fixed LAN addresses for smart devices etc around the home. (I changed the DHCP Range/Router IP to match Sky's)
2. Port forwarding, although works, creates two entries every time.
Frustrating for the most simplest of functions.
Anyone have the same issue or can help shed some light on what might be the cause.
Is it a bug in the firmware, as i can see previous models had this working ok.

Slightly off topic but I am considering switching from Sky to EE. I’m currently on part fibre and have a Sky hub which is at least 4 years old. Speeds are not the best but suitable for my usage. Issues is I am out of contract and don’t really want to fix for 24 months (EE offer 12 months and cheaper than Sky).
I've read a few reports of the new EE smart 7 plus router does not have good signal strength for WiFi around the home. I live in a 3 bed semi and my current sky hub transmits the 5ghz signal to every room although this drops to about 80% signal strength upstairs although the speeds are exactly the same as if at standing next to the hub.
im considering the full fibre 150 but am interested in others thoughts on the EE smart plus 7 hub.

@Mike9_LO Do you have any wifi 7 devices, and the 7 Plus Router is just so new as it is only just released if it is out for general usage as the 6 + eventual replacement will be aimed at the lower Full Fibre speeds! Sky does not have a unit that is the same!

No, OP didn't! OP said it affects "LAN". The LAN includes WiFi connections. OP particularly mentioned smart devices which predominantly tend to be on WiFi.
