Smart Hub Pro and Smart WiFi Pro ordered - excited

Engineer visit 3rd of December.

I can’t wait. I’ve been on the 900mbps service for the last 18 months and I can’t complain about what EE have provided at all.
However, I have been using Mercusys WiFi mesh  (WiFi 5) so I have never really had the benefit of it and this mesh is very unreliable. And doesn’t play nicely with Sky Stream, resulting in issues and drop outs.

very hopeful this will be the end of the issues.

only frustrating thing is that they will not take my word for it that I need an extra WiFi Pro box. I really do, because I have an Ethernet cable running from my house to my garage/office.

apparently I have to phone them after it’s up and running to get another WiFi Pro.

but honestly, I’ve been looking to upgrade my mesh to something decent and they are so expensive. This seems like a great deal.

@martinmcd21 That would be due to the fact that your remote location is not covered under the home BB network.

ONT changed this morning and 1.6gb with WiFi 7 up and running.

very good so far. I’m pulling 700-850 Mbps all over the house on my iPhone SE with WiFi 6.

wife’s new iPhone 16 is pulling 1.3gb.

previous normal average on WiFi 5 mesh was about 300.

also seems much more stable. My Sky Stream certainly seems to prefer this set up to my old WiFi 5 mesh boxes.

so far, so good.

Speed coming into the line is 1.67gbps. Pleasing.

Had this over a month now. Smart Hub Pro and 2x Smart WiFi Pros.

it’s been faultless. Speeds are lighting fast, all day, every day. Every device works flawlessly including my 6 Sky Stream pucks which were always problematic on my old EE Fibre with 3rd party mesh.

From my own experience I would recommend.
