Hi,

Just thought it might be worth putting up a list of all the firmware rollouts for the Smart Hub Plus SH31B Router that have happened in the past year or so to see if this adds/removes functionality or fixes/introduces any bugs to the routers.

Last night mine updated to r1.34.1-R-1055417-PROD-83002 and with this firmware update the app version was unchanged.

Changes:

Just received Firmware version - r1.34.1-R-1055417-PROD-83002.

Have we lost the ability to set a WiFi channel number on 5GHz, rather than smart, or did we never have the option?

I do have the option on 2.4GHz

As of 16/08/2024 just had a new firmware rollout:

App version:

Last night my EE Smart Hub Plus Router updated the firmware from r1.34.1-R-1055417-PROD-83002 App ver 1.13.1 to Firmware version: r1.35.0-R-1138091-PROD-83002 App ver 1.13.1

Again, the update has changed my settings. The update changed my 2.4 GHz channel from a fixed channel 6, to smart wifi.

Also before the update Firmware version: r1.35.0-R-1138091-PROD-83002 19/08/2024, my seven Alexa Dot Speakers, identified themselves in “View devices connected to your network”. Now they do not identify as Alexa Speakers and only the MAC address shows. The latest update has broken the feature of the devices identifying themselves.

Factory reset router too. I have reported the issue again to EE.

Hope this helps someone.

@huggons  Mac address issue been going on for a few FW updates, Web interface mostly gets it wrong, app sometimes gets it right, and have notice re-name on app will make web stick but not always, will set my 2.4ghz of smart also before the update, and let you know if it moves it back, had it fixed before, but picked the same channel one time when it decided all by its self to move it and this was before a FW update also, think it may have been a plain old router reset via web interface!

@monitorcurve Well looking like the EE Smarthub+ is getting FW update now if you are confirming version change!👍

Take it that was a painless update, no issues and still working for you as previous version...

Still working fine from my brief check so not sure if anything was added/removed, maybe others will be able to confirm.
