Smart Hub 2 and EE app

Hi
I'm confused about my set up and pairing with the ee app. Can someone with more networking knowledge help please?

I've got an RBR760 mesh system and a smart hub 2. I recently switched from BT to EE.

The orbi router is connected through LAN. There are 2 satellites. The orbi mesh is set to access point mode. Wireless is disabled on the smart hub 2. Basically the same as with BT.

I'd like to access the wifi controls via the EE app - is this possible?

With no wireless from the hub, obviously I can't pair the app. I switched the smart hub 2 wifi on and tried to pair, but no luck, my phone couldn't join the hub's wifi. My next try would be to reset the smart hub 2 to factory defaults...

What is the best way to setup the mesh and smart hub 2 router? Am I even missing out on much with the app's wifi controls?
TIA

@sammo02 Far as i am still aware the EE app is basically a NO - NO to try to control the BT Smarthub2, the MyBT app is still how you do that, the EE app is a complete hit/miss and even getting it to work can be a huge pain in the rear so NOT even worth trying it.

Depends what you did previous for the old app control, you will still get to the BT Router via Ethernet and with the http://192.168.1.254 web manager interface. No wireless then Ethernet is your main option unless you have success through the Orbi but that maybe difficult, set up unknown how you / its done.

@sammo02 Kept this separate, take it that you still have a landline or DV setup and that's why you are using the BT Router, or it was an issue trying to get your Orbi setup correctly to function on the original BT ppoe system.
