Ring doorbell

I have just upgraded to EE fibre and my Ring 3 plus doorbell won't connect to the new network.

Has anyone had the same problem?

I had a problem connecting my ring doorbell after the 2.4 and 5.0Ghz on my white router were split for me by EE.  I saved the settings after the split.  I then turned off the 5.0Ghz band and set the 2.4Ghz band to channel 1.  I then tried connecting the doorbell and it worked!  I then restored the settings to get the 5.0Ghz band back and it all stayed working.  So far so good

@IanC14 : Yes, that's the way to do it! EE can't split the bands remotely.

It's because EE router keeps moving it's IP address I had to use a old BT router and then it worked ok

@Droseveare Running fine with EE Smarthub+ no issues on Ringdoor bell, have made IP static and always been this way. Your observation may be correct who knows, but Ring Doorbell/Cameras can be the most awkward at times to get on the wi-fi signal as also other devices.

Same problem here. I switched the 5ghz to 2.5ghz then all my other devices in the home including tv and laptops ground to a slow sluggish pace/tripping and protesting against it!
it’s a no sence

I don’t want to buy another doorbell!!!!!

@Cosmicgirl : You should only temporarily disable the 5 GHz band while connecting problematic 2.4 GHz devices. Then you can switch it back on again.
