Received email to return hub or I will be charged £70.00 but new upgrade says, great new your EE equipment will work with your new upgrade to full fibre 150, my current EE hub is only 10 months old,?

Probably either will work on FF 150. What EE routers do you have (read label or post a pix)?

Oh, I was confused by your OP thinking "great new your EE equipment" meant "great your new EE equipment" & that you had received new kit on top of your current router. Apparently you only have 1 router.
As you have had contradictory instructions you will need to call CS to sort it out.
