@gazmix_1973 The help link. It's the difference in cost at the End 24 months that is were the Huge jump in price is! Packages are all about what you need as a user... I am a Network/Electronics Engineer, been doing this 45+ years and need zero help from a Customer Service, so basic Broadband is more than likely all i would ever need.... Have a look at the link, all the packages are listed just not the end game price's.

This one below all about the end line and some cost's are charted on that!

@JimM11 seems like only a fiver difference between 100mbps & 500 £24.99 & £29.99, but yes no point in paying for what don't need , i guess 100mbps is adequate for a smart tv but then again never know what may need in future. Apologies for being a pain i just wat to be knowledged up before going.  Wouldn't want any addons . I guess end game prices are what is happening now being out of contract..

@gazmix_1973 Can i just start off by saying what you are Quoting is ALL New customer pricing and YOU are an existing customer so you may just not get that..... Mine was £29.99 for the old fttc, and when i changed over to the FF500 that i selected then it went to £37.99 with some admin fee's etc so slightly higher on the first bill, but that was the package price, EE are NOT in the business of giving it away....

There was a proviso that the FFTP change over from OR would NOT be charged and that fee is £100 waived by both OR/EE, but it was an agreement at signup on the old FTTC copper, when Fibre becomes available you can change, that is a like for like so 80/20 to a FF100 speed, i needed higher so paid the extra cost!

The shop will tell you what it is going to be as a cost so you need to listen, know what you are paying now to what it's all going to be!

ok thanks, i guess only way is to see what shop says. My dad has a paper bill going back 9 yrs so will taken that as extra i.d proof along with photographic. The last bill was £47 for 6mbps which i can do web stuff but then again pc is old too and trying to play a quiz etc, the fan starts blowing. I have no idea what would be sufficient speed for needs..  Thanks it's all a learning process & i appreciate your help.

The guy on the phone was correct. Undoubtedly the shop staff are mobile phone salesmen & know little of BB. All they are aware of is a list of plans & their prices.

so how is it possible to identify someone over the phone. I could just call up & say i'm mi dad whereas a passport pic is 100% proof showed instore..

You'd have your Dad beside you to answer the security Qs before he hands over to you to deal with the technicals. It'll be the same instore. They won't accept the answers out of your mouth. You're making a mountain out of a molehill.

ok well i know all the security questions from previous chats , no need for him to be there. No probs i'll see what they say.

There is need for him to be present.

Please accept the advice you have been given - the same has been reiterated on multiple occasions.

@Matt_124 and @XRaySpeX Thanks the OP is just not getting it, would be surprised if the account is not RED flagged with a do not speak to him at all!
