thanks i had to login to see on pc whereas i thought if was logged in on phone i'd see on pc as logged in there too but no...  best to do a shop visit, the guy i spoke to said other wise so not sure what to believe. Probably he gets commission so said better to do it all through him over the phone. Went to shop earlier & girl said can do it all there so not great for guy on phone to tell fibs.. worn out. Thanks

So guess guy on phone is on commission. Telling me that in-store staff or mainly trained in phones.

@gazmix_1973 Just do it with the EE Customer Service agent all over the phone as said when available for you, they will have hopefully more experience in doing it with the move from the OLD to the NEW EE account control, commission is irrelevant to who get's what, you just want it all to go smooth at your end.....

Once it is all done you can start to look at were you want the new EE Equipment to be, the DV phone setup etc, so be sure to tell them YOU NEED to keep the existing phone number with it all...

@JimM11 ok will probably do on phone, I just thought easier face to face. Iguess they will see that we still on old BB. He gave me his personal email so when we ready we'll do that. So he was correct that over phone more experienced.Girl in shop said otherwise.

I guess it will all go more smoothly than my anxious mind thinks. We will get done over next months.

@gazmix_1973 They should be able to do it everywhere, that is the point to be said, the main issue that YOU have is YOU ARE NOT the account holder so over the phone there are cheques and balances, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHANGE A PRODUCT in anyway shape or form, so when you and your parent are sitting in the shop the EE/BT person in front off you can make that instant decision by a straight question right at the account holder.... Not saying you are doing anything wrong it is the RULES off the companies for PROTECTION off ALL!

@JimM11  yes that is what we initially planned, for me and the parent (account holder)  will go to shop with i.d  and do it all there, choose package etc

Then guy on phone said better to do over phone as shop staff more trained for phones. So now better to go to shop as can see us.

They can go through packages in person which also seems easier.

@gazmix_1973 YES, that possibly is the best way, the shop person will say oops sorry that is too difficult or Ok not an issue do this all the time, let's get it all done.... Just make sure you have all that is needed for the trip to a shop, it's all appointment's that you call them to arrange and they TIME slot you for doing so....

I visited shop yesterday and girl said come in anytime, nothing about appointments. I'll go in again tomorrow and see what they say.. proving I.d over phone is impossible I'd think as I know my parents password etc.

I assume I can get all packages seeing near big city

@gazmix_1973 If money is no object then do as you need, as to getting everything from FF100 to the FF1.6Gb/s that is all dependent, anything above what you require for home use is a waste off money, speed is NOT the be all and end all for everything....

Work out your usage and then select the package, your going from copper to fibre, if all working for you now then the FF100/FF150 is were you want to be, i settled on a FF500 package the Overhead at home was close to the 100Mb/s with what was going on, INTERNET speed i care NOT about, but daughter heavy user 4K movies and PS5 downloads etc, wife not so much and on a FF500 lowest so far has been 200Mb/s sustained throughput but the OR external network was extremely busy at the time, so system never complained at all!

And i moved from a 40/10 split, with everyone fighting for bandwidth, so now 500/70 and covered it all with loads off room to spare, but 24 Months later will be whacked big time to full package price unless i move on or talk nicely to retentions....

Ok yes I thought that, it doesn't seem much difference between 100 to 500 in price, core to standard I think.. core, standard, premium and ultimate is what's on offer I think so either core or standard..

Just basic internet use, YouTube, football stream that I can do now. A mobile WiFi and prospect of a smart TV so up to 500mbps I think. Would be still  paying less than now.
